In general use, the iron oxide red heat resistance is not a problem, but generally yellow iron oxide, iron oxide black and brown, for containing water of crystallization (yellow iron) FeO (iron black), crystal water (iron brown ), beginning at 1770C under dehydration or oxidation discoloration, and therefore can not be used at higher temperatures required for processing plastics, rubber and baking coatings.
Heat-resistant grade iron oxide by dispersing agent, powder pigment synthesized by interfacial chemical reaction, compared with the conventional iron oxide pigments, has several advantages in the application process:
First, excellent resistance to flocculation, dispersion, improve the stability of the dispersion;
Second, the good weather fastness, in coatings can improve the gloss coating and coloring with the temperature change is more stable;
Third, superior chemical resistance, acid and alkali improve product performance;
Fourth, excellent heat resistance, so that the powder particles at high temperatures in a relatively stable state, so that the product has a wider range of applications.
Heat-resistant grade iron oxide pigments particularly suitable for automotive OEM coatings, automotive repair paint, coil coatings, industrial coatings, various pastes and highly opalescent gloss paint, plastic, ceramic body and the like.
